The Rail Cleaning Car is a vehicle that can remove dirt and debris from the rails while it is moving.
We released a cleaning car for N gauge in 2000, and now, after 24 years, we are releasing a cleaning car for HO rails.
Features
- A rail cleaning car with an exterior modeled after the WAM80000 type, Japan's leading two-axle freight car
- Can be used with commercially available 16.5mm gauge rails
- The design is modeled after a private freight car owned by Tomii Electric Railway and available on the JNR
- Powered by dry batteries, the cleaning car can be connected to a locomotive or other powered car and run on the tracks, allowing cleaning that is not affected by the condition of the rails or the power supply method
- Requires two AA batteries (sold separately) (commercially available alkaline batteries are used)
- The power switch is located on top of the car body, and the motor rotation can be switched between two levels, HIGH and LOW, or OFF
- The suction fan and attachment suck up dust and dirt on the tracks
- The suction fan can be replaced with various discs to clean the top surface of the rails; use the dry type (abrasive cloth) if the dirt is severe, and the wet type (cloth) in other cases
- More effective cleaning is possible by attaching the included felt stick and wet disc and soaking the felt stick in rail cleaner
- Equipped with a coupler that can be connected to a KD coupler
- Can pass through a minimum radius of R356 (excluding S-shaped linear tracks)
*The cleaning car does not move on its own, and a separate powered vehicle is required to run it
*Please prepare commercially available batteries separately
