The E2 series is a Shinkansen train that was introduced in 1997.

The 1000 series of the same series was introduced for the extension of the Tohoku Shinkansen to Hachinohe, and is characterized by different side window dimensions compared to the 0 series.

• Side logo mark, car number, and car number markings are printed
• Head and tail lights can be lit using the separately sold FM-017 power unit, power unit, and DC feeder
• Headlights and tail lights are equipped with a constant-light board
• Headlights are lit by incandescent LEDs, tail lights by red LEDs
• Silver wheels used
• Straight rail S158.5(F) is included (unprinted) for immediate display
• Straight rail S158.5(F) can be connected to conventional Finetrack
• Wheel chocks to prevent rolling are included
